Welcome to A Daily Dose of Writing! We created this book, specifically to make a teacher's life a little bit easier. Containing a string of lessons to last the entire school year, this book will help you get your students off to the right start! These lessons can be used as springboards for your formal instruction, or can be used for mini-lessons, reviews, homework, or daily practice. Created specifically for grades 4-8, they can easily be adapted for other grade levels. You can order the book under the Order tab or check out certain pages of the book under the Preview Pages tab. Panda Mayhem

Panda Mayhem is a fun game where students can review or practice basic grammar skills. As the student progresses through the three levels of the game, they will be required to locate different parts of speech. Level one: find nouns and verbs. In the Second level the player locates nouns, verbs and adjectives. Finally on the Third level, adverbs are added to the mix as well.

Once the student has shown mastery of knowing parts of speech, they are then allowed to create several sentences using silly words that are provided. The student can drag and drop the different parts of speech to the correct blank in the sentence. This game builds in difficulty as they continue through the exercise. If there are several students playing at once, be sure to ask them what they came up with for some of these sentences. They can be quite hilarious!
